Working with Dermatrends

Partnership Opportunities

There are many ways that pharmaceutical and drug delivery companies can benefit from a partnership with Dermatrends. These range from a limited feasibility or proof-of-concept test around a single compound, to a more encompassing technology development and licensing arrangement, or a full joint venture that may include product development and testing through regulatory approvals and manufacturing.

Development and Licensing

In a standard development and licensing agreement, our pharmaceutical partner executes a contract with Dermatrends regarding a specific compound. We also offer a more collaborative model aimed at quickly testing multiple molecules with the goal of bringing a product to the market as quickly as possible.

Joint Venture

Under a joint venture partnership, Dermatrends combines its technology, product development expertise and intellectual property with the resources of a pharmaceutical partner to jointly bring a product from feasibility testing all the way through regulatory approval. The timeline for initial feasibility testing is far less than many companies currently experience in the evaluation phase. Our ability to test multiple compounds simultaneously is a critical advantage for companies that have more than one drug under consideration.

Once a compound has been proven successful in tests, Dermatrends is able to bring its considerable scientific and business expertise to help move a product through regulatory approvals. In addition to our fully functioning permeability laboratory, we have a committed manufacturing capability that allows us to work with our partners through commercialization.
